Cookie policy

What we store, and why.

Plain-English cookie disclosure for UK PECR and UK GDPR compliance. You can change your choices at any time.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser by a website. We also treat as "cookies" any closely equivalent technologies (local storage, session storage) we use for the same purpose.

2. Categories we use

We split cookies into three categories. You can accept or reject each category independently using the banner that appears on your first visit, or by opening at any time.

Cookie / storeCategoryPurposeDuration
rc-consentStrictly necessaryStores your consent choices (necessary / analytics / marketing) so we don't re-prompt.12 months
sb-*-auth-tokenStrictly necessarySupabase authentication session for the client portal.Session / up to 30 days
rc-shortlistStrictly necessaryLocal storage only. Remembers investments you've shortlisted for comparison.Until cleared
_ga / _ga_*Analytics (opt-in)Google Analytics 4, with IP anonymisation. Measures page views and scroll depth.13 months
_fbpMarketing (opt-in)Meta Pixel. Measures conversions from Facebook/Instagram ads.90 days

3. Strictly necessary

Strictly necessary cookies enable the site to function and cannot be switched off. Examples include our session cookie, our authentication tokens in the client portal, our CSRF protection token, and the cookie that stores your consent preferences so we don't re-prompt on every page.

4. Analytics

Off by default. If you opt in, we load Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with IP anonymisation. GA4 tells us which pages and cities investors read, how long they stay, and whether they return. We do not use Google Signals or cross-site advertising features. Google is the data processor; the processor agreement is published at policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Marketing

Off by default. If you opt in, we load the Meta (Facebook) Pixel so we can measure whether paid social campaigns lead to contact-form submissions. We never share your contact details with Meta directly; the Pixel sees only aggregated conversion events. You can opt out at any time via or by using your browser's tracker-blocker.

6. Changing your choices

Click at any time to reopen the consent panel. You can also clear all cookies from your browser settings, which will cause our banner to reappear on your next visit.

7. Browser Do Not Track

We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends GPC, we treat it as a rejection of analytics and marketing cookies and will not prompt the banner.

8. Questions

Email Info@redcardinal.co.uk or write to Red Cardinal Property Investment, 33 Cavendish Square, London, W1G 0PW. Our ICO registration number is ZB632945. You have the right to complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
